Do you have any age requirements?

Getting Started

Not at all! Many families make Pilates part of their routine, and we welcome clients of all ages. If you're under 18, a parent or guardian must provide written consent. Our current clients range from ages 16 and up —Pilates truly is for everyone!

Which class should I start with?

We recommend starting with our HP FULL BODY. It offers a well-rounded introduction to the reformer and the flow of a typical class. If you have specific injuries or movement limitations, we suggest booking an introductory private session to get personalized guidance. Email us at info@harborpilates.com for more info.

What are the benefits of Reformer Pilates?

This list could go on forever, but here are a few highlights:
  • Strengthens and tones the entire body, especially the core
  • Improves posture, flexibility, and mobility
  • Alleviates tension in the back, neck, and shoulders
  • Enhances balance and coordination
  • Supports mental well-being
  • Helps correct muscular imbalances
  • Can increase bone density
  • Reduces injury risk through controlled movement

What Should I bring and wear?

Wear comfortable, fitted clothing you can move in easily. Grip socks are required for safety and hygiene. Bring a water bottle and skip heavy lotions, makeup, or jewelry, as they can damage the reformer.

What should I expect at my first class?

Please arrive 10 minutes early. A team member will help you get set up and introduce you to the reformer so you feel confident and ready to move.

Where’s your beginner class?

All of our classes are beginner-friendly! We tailor exercises and spring resistance to your level!

Are you a classical Pilates studio?

While our teaching is grounded in the classical Pilates method, we are not a strictly classical studio. Our classes blend classical exercises with contemporary variations to create a well-rounded and adaptable experience. We cater to a wide range of bodies and abilities, offering thoughtful modifications and progressions to ensure every client feels supported, challenged, and safe in their movement practice.

We recommend booking at least a week ahead. You can book up to 3 weeks in advance. Please only book classes you’re confident you can attend to be respectful of other clients.

Are recurring classes auto-booked?

No. To keep things fair, clients book their own classes up to 2 weeks in advance.

Do you offer private classes?

Yes! We offer personalized one-on-one sessions. Please email us at info@harborpilates.com for more info.

Can I book a private event?

Absolutely! We love hosting groups for birthdays, bachelorettes, corporate events, and more. Email us at info@harborpilates.com for more info.

How does the waitlist work?

If you're on the waitlist, you'll stay there until someone cancels. As soon as a spot opens up, you'll be moved into the class based on your position in line and receive a text and email notification. This can happen up to 30 minutes before class—so be sure to check your messages! If you’re not moved into the class, the session stays in your account.

Can I waitlist for more than one class in a day?

We strongly discourage it. You may get into multiple classes and risk being charged late cancellation fees. Choose the class that best fits your schedule.

If I don’t get into a class, does that session get added back into my account?

Yes.

What if the class I want is full?

Join the waitlist! We cap our waitlist at 3 people and usually clear it each week. You'll receive a text or email if you're added to class.
